I could not imagine what it would be like being Anne in the annex for two and a half years. What would you mostly do in the annex? If I was in the annex, I would do as I was told. If I was in the annex I would do my lesson that my mom or dad gave me because there is nothing to do in the day until 6:00 P.M. In the annex you could not look out the window at all. Anne, I think you are great and I enjoyed reading your dairy from in the annex.

The secret annex is cool becuase the book case opens up to a secret room. I alwayss wanted one of those but I will go insane if I had to stay in thiere for 2 years. I think it's sad what the Nazis did to you and your family by sending you and your fanily to a concentration camp.

To stand in Anne's bedroom and see the pictures she had glued to the walls to cheer the place up was so overwhelming it moved me to tears. Her gift to the world lives forever in her book and being here has imprinted her life story on my soul. Thank you for making this available.

As a child I listened to the stories my Dutch mother and Grandparents told of the times they endured during the Nazi occupation. Nothing compared to what the Frank's endured. This site very much keeps these memories alive and I hope we never forget. Were it not for the war my parents would never have met. The events of the war are very complex and affected many in ways that could never have been predicted. I would like to thank all whose efforts supporting the Anne Frank house help keep these memories alive.
