In Westerbork

The eight people from the Secret Annex were placed in the Prison Barracks because they should never have gone into hiding. They had to wear a white armband with an S for ‘Strafgeval (Criminal)’. During the day, they had to work; at night, they were free within the camp’s enclosure. They came across acquaintances, former classmates, and other fellow victims. They stayed in the camp for almost a month.
