Exhibition at the Anne Frank House

Reflections is a continuous film, showing various people who talk about what Anne Frank means to them. See the exhibition and reflect on what Anne Frank means to you.

The Diary of Anne Frank

'I want to go on living even after my death!' On 5 April 1944, Anne Frank wrote this ambitious sentence in her diary. Her biggest dream? To become a famous writer. She did not know that her diary would go on to become one of the most widely-read books in the world. Her life story still has a great impact.

The exhibition Reflections consists of three large video projections. In these films, authors, politicians, visitors to the Anne Frank House, and people who knew her all talk about what Anne’s diary and life story mean to them. The exhibition challenges visitors to reflect on Anne’s story.

‘The only thing we have to remember is: all her would-haves are our real possibilities. All her would-haves are our opportunities.’
