The travelling exhibition

In Italy, there are three different copies of the the travelling exhibition Anne Frank - a History for today. One of them is in an Italian-German language version. It is used in the bilingual areas of the region of Trentino Alto Adige. Many of the projects are organised together with the Austrian Anne Frank Verein and meant for German speaking students. The exhibition provides training courses for both teachers and students to act as guides for their peers. Many historical and Jewish institutions, along with schools and town councils, contribute to the tour of the travelling Anne Frank exhibition in Italy.

Free2choose

In 2007, the discussion programme Free2choose started in Italy. Human rights dilemmas were discussed among students, and in collaboration with Francesco Luigi Ferrari Centro Culturale in Modena, three videos were created. They dealt with the freedom of expression and the right to religious freedom.

Connecting Borders

In 2013, Connecting Borders was launched: a project for young people from Austria, Germany, and Italy. The activities include trainings for peer guides using the bilingual Italian-German version of the Anne Frank – a History for Today exhibition, movie-making workshops such as Free2choose-Create and Memory Walk; and study trips to Holocaust memorial sites Mauthausen and Dachau.
