Visual

Anne Frank House for blind and visually impaired visitors

Lighting in some rooms at Anne Frank House is dimmed to protect fragile original items. This means the lighting is not ideal for visually impaired visitors. We recommend visiting the museum together with someone.

Support and tips:

  • Registered assistance dogs with a harness are welcome. Please be aware that the historic part of the museum has steep stairs and two glass floor sections. This may be challenging for a dog.
  • Make use of the audio tour, which gives you information about the history of hiding while you walk through the museum. The audio tour is available in nine languages.
  • Twice a year, we organise an introductory programme for blind and visually impaired visitors. Keep an eye on our ticket page for the next opportunity. You are of course also welcome to join a regular introductory program.
