In Ukraine, our educational activities currently focus on supporting local youth through the Anne Frank Youth Network. In response to the ongoing situation in the country, we work closely with young people and local partners to create opportunities for dialogue, reflection, and civic engagement inspired by Anne Frank’s story. Alongside these youth-led initiatives, we continue to offer educational resources and our traveling exhibition. Looking for additional educational materials? History
The Anne Frank – A History for Today exhibition was first presented in Ukraine in 2008. Since then, it has traveled to 40 cities, reaching more than 100,000 visitors. Through a peer education approach, thousands of students were trained as exhibition guides, helping to engage young people in learning about the Holocaust, human rights, and diversity. The exhibition was adapted with local stories about the Holocaust in Ukraine and complemented by teacher training seminars. Inspired by its success, Ukrainian partners developed the Sources of Tolerance exhibition, highlighting historical figures who promoted peace and inclusion. Together, these initiatives have continued to support education and dialogue across Ukraine through exhibitions, youth engagement, and teacher training.
