The Anne Frank House does research to gain a better understanding of the developments and backgrounds of antisemitism, racism and right-wing extremism in the Netherlands. This research forms the basis for our teaching materials.

Research on antisemitism

Antisemitism is treating Jews differently because they are Jewish. The Anne Frank House continuously monitors antisemitism in Dutch society. We also look at the causes and backgrounds in order to prevent antisemitism.
Research on racism

Racism is making a distinction based on race, skin colour, or someones national or ethnic origin. The Anne Frank House systematically does research on racism in Dutch society. We also look at the causes and backgrounds in order to to prevent racism.
Research on the extreme right

The Anne Frank House does research on the development and background of right-wing extremist organisations and processes of radicalisation and deradicalisation of right-wing extremists.
Racism and extremism monitor
